Bond/Financial Guarantee Insurance

Though not an insurance in itself, bonds of various types are Financial guarantees (surety) provided by insurance companies (or banks) on behalf of another person(s) e.g. Contractor to its or his Principal or employer stating that a specified sum of money will be paid if the person guaranteed is unable to carry out an agreed obligation. The bonds of various type are Financial guarantees, Advance Payment Bond, Performance Bond, Credit Bond, Tender Bond and the like. In order to secure payments like mobilization fees, advance payment etc, it is important to instruct the contractor to provide Bond from reputable insurance company.
